Ólbios means happy land, prosperous, rich. This is the name that ancient Greeks gave to our land
Gallura, land of wines
Our winery is a member of the Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Protection Consortium.
GOODWINES ORIGINATE FROM A GOOD LAND
The vineyards are cultivated implementing an integrated farming system which does not use herbicides, treatments are limited and carried out exclusively with products having a low environmental impact. The company holds SQNPI (National Integrated Crop Management Quality System) certification and Green Care certification, to reduce water and electricity consumption.
The plants are not irrigated, unless under emergency conditions, and this means that their roots burrow down into depths of the ground seeking water and absorbing mineral salts and character from the granitic and sandy soil. The vineyards are still farmed in the traditional way, pruned by hand and tied using biodegradable and natural materials. The grapes are harvested by hand and taken in small crates to our winery.
There is no use of products or by-products of animal origin either in the vineyards or in the winery: our wines are 100% Vegan.
The winery
The winery is located right in the centre of the vineyards and the winemaking and bottling processes are carried out only and exclusively with our own grapes.
The winery is housed in an original old Gallura’s traditional farm house which has been totally refurbished, giving prominence to the original structure made of granite stone. The technical area is modern, equipped with steel tanks and subdivided in different operating units. The casks in the lower aging cellar are filled without the use of pumps, in order to preserve the integrity of the wine even further.
This combination of the old and the new, tradition and innovation, distinguishes our winery, giving character to the wines we produce.

What does integrated production mean
THE ORIGIN OF OUR WINES
Daniela Pinna, is personally involved in taking care of the vineyard, which she has partially renewed, maintaining and enhancing the old vines, mainly with native varieties. The methods applied in the field draw their inspiration from the principles of natural cultivation. The aim is to guarantee a winemaking process that is as pure as possible, in order to obtain wines with the power to convey their deep bond with their native land, but also to protect the environment, together with the microfauna and microflora that populates it.
The grapes come exclusively from the owned vineyards Vena Fiorita, Sussula and Piscolvei, where the soil is mainly composed of granite sand with a tiny percentage of clay. Granite is a rock chiefly composed of minerals such as quartz and feldspar, which provide minerality notes to our wines.
